Paul sees children, teens, adults, and families.
As human beings our mental health and well-being are closely tied to our relationships, our roles and our time of life. I work to help people of all ages understand how to get the best out of themselves and how to improve their mental health in the different roles and contexts in which they live, work and play.
I hope to bring a warm, but direct approach to your care. I won’t use much jargon; however, I will make sure that you are listened to, and always leave a session with something relatable to work on that is practical, useful and grounded in evidence-based care. I work to bring together my professional knowledge and 25 years of experience, and together with you, apply it to your unique situation.
For kids, families and adults I can help with anxiety, poor sleep oppositional behaviour, ADHD, mood disturbance, trauma and relationship difficulties. For all ages I can also help with issues relating to sports and performance. As a keen sportsman myself it’s a real passion and an area that I think I’m uniquely placed to help with. I love to make a broader contribution to the community with teaching, training and mentoring for other mental health professionals and for the public. CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy and EMDR are at the core of my approach.
When I’m not working face to face with clients, I help run the Practice with my wife and co-director, Dr Melissa Ree. We are raising three hungry teenage boys together, and somewhere in there is the time to run around the athletics track trying to fend off older age!
