Reon Boyd

Whether you are looking to develop coping strategies, gain insight into your experiences, or work toward personal or performance goals, I am committed to supporting you throughout the process and achieve outcomes that matter.

I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, collaborative, and tailored to you. I aim to create a supportive space where adolescents, and adults can explore their concerns openly, set meaningful goals, and develop practical strategies to improve everyday life. My approach is warm and compassionate, helping you to feel understood and empowered to make lasting change.

Common challenges I support people to work through include:

  • Depression and low mood
  • Anxiety disorders (including generalised worry, panic, OCD, social anxiety, and phobias)
  • Stress management
  • Adjustment difficulties following life changes, (including grief and loss)
  • Emotional and behavioural challenges in children and adolescents
  • Relationship or family difficulties
  • Sleep difficulties, (including insomnia)
  • Confidence and self-esteem concerns
  • Performance and sport-related stress or pressure
  • Obsessive-compulsive patterns or intrusive thoughts
  • Attention difficulties, including ADHD

My practice is guided primarily by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while integrating elements of Schema and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) when helpful. I tailor my approach to each client’s goals and needs, focusing on practical tools and skills that can be applied in daily life to support meaningful, lasting change. I also have a strong interest in psychological assessment, which informs my understanding of your strengths, challenges, and potential pathways for change.

I completed my undergraduate Honours and Professional Master’s degrees in Psychology at Curtin University and my Master of Clinical Psychology at Murdoch University. I am fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and an associate member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).

I look forward to meeting you.
