Acknowledgement of Country

At J&R Psychology, we acknowledge the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live. We recognise their deep and enduring connection to land, waters, skies, and culture.
We invite you to take a moment to honour the 80,000-year history of this Country—to reflect on the strength, wisdom, and care that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have offered to these lands for countless generations.

We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who visit our clinic or engage with our services.
We’re committed to walking alongside First Nations peoples in the spirit of listening, learning, and healing—and to fostering culturally safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed care for all.

Frequently asked questions

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from seeing a psychologist. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply want support navigating life’s challenges, it might be a good time to reach out.

Your first session is a chance to talk through what’s been happening and what you’re hoping to get from therapy. It’s also an opportunity to get to know your psychologist and ask any questions you may have.

Yes, we accept Medicare referrals. If your GP has provided a mental health care plan, you may be eligible for a rebate on your sessions. We’re happy to help you understand how it works.

Yes, we offer telehealth sessions for clients who prefer to connect from home. These sessions are confidential, effective, and a convenient option if you’re unable to attend in person.
